The Junk was founded in 2021 by architect and designer Tarık Rasim Nomer. During his studies in Milan, Tarık Rasim Nomer was inspired by design and fashion events, deeply understanding the importance of sustainable fashion. To take a stand against fast fashion and reduce environmental impacts, he established The Junk, a brand that produces stylish and eco-friendly bags from waste materials. As Turkey's first and only upcycling fashion brand creating bags from materials like truck tarps, fire hoses, and seat belts, The Junk leads the industry by combining sustainability and innovative design.
