Duration of Return Policy

You have 14 days from the day you receive your order to request a return.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, please notify us within 14 days of delivery. You do not need to provide a reason.

Once you have notified us, you have an additional 14 days to send the item back.

Conditions for Return Eligibility

Items should be returned in their original condition.

You may inspect and try on the product to check its size, material, colour, and overall appearance, but it should not be used beyond what is necessary to assess its nature, characteristics, and functionality.

If an item has been used, washed, altered, or damaged beyond normal inspection, a deduction may be made from your refund to reflect any resulting loss in value.

Because every The Junk product is made from upcycled truck tarpaulin and other previously used materials, natural variations and signs of previous use may be present. These may include, but are not limited to, markings, prints, colour differences, texture changes, scratches, folds, stains, and surface irregularities.

Such characteristics are inherent to the nature of upcycled materials and are not considered defects when they are consistent with the product description and do not affect the functionality or safety of the product.

How to Start a Return

To start a return, please contact us at info@thejunkdesign.com with your order number within 14 days of delivery.

We will provide return instructions and the return address.

You must send the item back within 14 days of notifying us of your decision to return it.

Return Shipping Costs

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

We recommend using a trackable shipping method and keeping your proof of shipment until your return has been received and processed.

Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect your return, we will notify you of its status.

Refunds will be processed to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving your withdrawal notification. We may withhold the refund until we receive the returned item or proof that it has been sent back, whichever occurs first.

If you return your entire order, the original standard delivery costs will also be refunded, where required by law. Additional charges for premium delivery options are not refundable.

Any applicable deductions for loss in value will be communicated to you.

Damaged, Incorrect, or Defective Items

If your item arrives damaged, incorrect, or defective, please contact us as soon as possible at info@thejunkdesign.com with your order number and photos if possible.

If the issue is confirmed, we will offer a suitable solution, such as a refund, replacement, or repair, in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.

Exchanges

We do not offer direct exchanges.

If you would like a different product, please return your order for a refund and place a new order separately.

Exclusions

Returns requested after the 14-day withdrawal period may not be accepted, except where required by applicable consumer protection laws.

Items that have been used, damaged, washed, or altered beyond what is necessary for normal inspection may be subject to a deduction reflecting their loss in value.

For international orders outside the EU, VAT, import taxes, customs duties, or local charges may be the responsibility of the customer, subject to applicable law.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory consumer rights.
